Spring Sale on Latin Books
“Spring Sale” sounds kind of mercenary, doesn’t it? Well, okay, this post is kind of mercenary. But I thought some of you would be interested. Our Spring Sale 2026 on Latin books extends from April 28th through May 31st. There is a 10% discount on all Latin book sales during that time.
Latin teachers acquire a lot of books. More accurately, a lot of books come to us. People donate books that they no longer want, or that they’re inherited. Most of my career I’ve spent in private schools where students need to buy their own books. Many of them abandoned their books when they left, or passed them on to me. Many I’ve rescued from less-than-bibliophilic administrators in both the public and private sector who had earmarked them for the dumpster.
A Happy Solution
The thing is, as much as I love books, and especially Latin books, I can use only so many of them. I could donate extras to a thrift shop, but that’s also a likely route to the dumpster. A happy solution, since I (conveniently) have a website, is to offer them for sale here. That way, other lovers of ancient language texts can share in my bounty.

Right now, I have I have seven titles listed. This list includes three titles I’ve added just in the last week. One of those is Petronius: selections from the Satiricon/Satyricon. The difference in spelling reflects the fact that there are two slightly different editions. We have also added a hardcover version of Cassell’s Latin Dictionary, and Barbara Weiden Boyd’s 2004 edition of Vergil’s Aeneid: Selections from Books 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, & 12. I’ve also restocked Pharr’s Aeneid, which had been sold out.
Here is a brief description of all the books we have available, along with links to the full listing. Prices are pre-sale prices, so subtract 10% before May 31st:
